Janet Muller

Muller's "Duniway Radio Hour" project is a student-produced radio show that harkens back to the days of yesteryear. Each Tuesday, students write and broadcast an original radio program based on their research of the events and music of the 1940s and 50s. The broadcasts include theatrical presentations, authentic music, news programs and commercials all based on their research of radio's heyday. Students then deliver tapes of the programs to local senior citizen "research partners" for critique, doughnuts, and hot chocolate. The program not only allows students to learn about radio and history, but also affords them a chance to connect with another generation.
