The team’s innovative teaching idea, “FUSION,” is focused on adopting an interdisciplinary approach to education by creating a one-room schoolhouse at Rocky Mountain Middle School where the four core teachers mentor and teach all the students in one collaborative space.  Nicknamed Team Fusion, this group of teachers ultimately hopes to inspire, motivate and encourage its students to be ready for high school, college and beyond. Specifically, this project will foster creativity and innovation through interdisciplinary projects; unite students with their peers and teachers to create a collaborative learning environment; strive for independence through blended learning; optimize the learning experience through a highly individualized curriculum; and integrate multiple forms of technology to prepare students for 21st century careers.
