Constantine Elementary School

Constantine Elementary School is bringing the world to its playground. "Blossoming with Diversity" is the winning program that transports students around the world by exploring plants from different regions. Robertson and her colleagues, Garrick, Steen-Hurst and Spiceland, developed the interactive program to expose their students to life beyond their community. The different plants will provoke additional research about their native homeland and associated cultures. Through literature and virtual field trips, students will learn tolerance and acceptance of others. Students will log their findings and progression of plants in journals. At the end of each six-week period, students will give presentations to share their research and results with the student body, faculty and parents.
