Heather Anderson and Tracy Howk

Anderson and Howk's innovative teaching idea, “Technology for Elementary Students,” focuses on implementing educational technology tools for K-5 students to encourage computer science in the classroom and teach students basic coding. Through this work, students will be taught simple coding practices in an engaging manner through age appropriate programs. Anderson and Howk hope to prepare students for opportunities of the future and help them to succeed in academics, computer science, collaboration and critical thinking.
