Bruno's "Future City" project is a schoolwide competition to design the city of the future. Students work in groups to generate a three dimensional, to-scale model of a futuristic urban design, a comprehensive computer-based simulation of a working city, and an essay outlining how their city will handle a specific environmental or health related challenge. Students host a future city expo where parents, teachers, administrators and other students can gather to learn about the models and computer designs they have created. Following the expo, a winning model and computer design are chosen, along with three students to represent the school at the regional National Engineers Week Future City Competition in Boston.
