The team’s innovative teaching idea, “All Inclusive Playground,” focuses meeting the needs of all of their students, including those with special needs and disabilities, through the construction of a more inclusive playground. The Voya grant will be used to purchase a ground covering made from composite rubber so all handicap accessible devices can access the playground. The playground will also have a sensory walk and safe ramped play equipment. The team hopes to create a play area where students of all abilities are able to play together, while meeting the needs of students with mobility issues.
