Logan’s innovative teaching idea, “SafetyWISE,” is designed to promote team building while teaching valuable lessons to bring to their school, home and community. The goals of this project, according to Logan, include strengthening community safety by educating students, staff and community members on life-saving techniques that they can carry into their future. The Voya grant will be used to purchase the materials necessary to train Londonderry Middle School students and staff basic CPR, AED use, and relief of choking, with an engaging, hands-on approach.
