Dwayne Johnson & Tina Goter

Johnson and Goter, both 8 th grade teachers at Stevens Middle School, submitted the formation of "The Digital Training Room", which will affect approximately 180 students encompassing the entire 8th grade class. The program focuses on improving student health and education by integrating school content areas through the use of technology. By using networks, student digital portfolios, heart rate monitors and student laptops, "The Digital Training Room" supports student use of technology to improve health and skills, teacher training in technology and improved parent communication. Teachers will complete needed technology training to assist students in the completion of the digital portfolios, create teacher websites communicating curriculum standards and post grades on-line. Johnson and Goter both live in Port Angeles.
