Douglas Deffé

Deffé's project integrated a semester of history with one of literature relating to the same historical period. The goal was to allow students to focus in depth on a period of history in a cross-curriculum situation. The program taught students how history has a direct influence on the literature of the time. Students attended museums and other sites and listened to expert guest lecturers that brought history to life.
