Clovis' project was designed to educate students on how to solve conflicts in a nonviolent manner. The unique approach involved learning about conflict resolution through literature. Through lively discussions, role playing, reading, and writing, students became involved in problem solving using critical thinking skills. Third through fifth grade students learned from this program by negotiating or mediating many of their own conflicts as well as providing advice to other students.
