Denyce K. Grusecki

Grusecki's "Activity Day" is a goal-oriented project designed to improve homework performance. Students who turn in all homework on time during a two-week cycle are rewarded with Activity Day. The slate is then wiped clean, and the cycle begins again. Activity Day can include social events, special holiday activities, interdisciplinary projects, treats, and entertainment. The project encourages students to gain valuable study and organizational skills early in junior high and helps them see the correlation between completing homework and earning good grades.
