Debra Stevens

Stevens' Jazz in Its Time project gave students the opportunity to study and perform jazz, including jazz improvisation. Through weekly after-school sessions, students practiced their improvisation skills while they also practiced with the jazz ensemble. Students also were mentored by members of a local jazz group.
