Debra Savage

In Savage's "Living History" project, 200 Westside High School students will relive history through research and presentations. In the research phase, they will be given an artifact or replica and learn the skills associated with the object. The students will also compose historical narratives of real or fictional persons based on their primary and secondary research. Students will design costumes of these specific time periods and prepare their final presentations. Their finding s will be presented to local elementary and middle school students in order to share knowledge and skills of historic preservation. A web page will be created with a video clip and/or still images to virtually share information about their new experiences and skills. Savage is a resident of Manvel.
