Wade's "Animate the Story with Music" teams eighth-grade general music students with first-graders to create a computer-generated animated video. The elementary students write the story and e-mail it to the eighth graders, who animate the story through original music and animation using Acid 3.0 music software and Animation Master animation software. The first-graders then visit the eighth-grade class to view the video and receive their own VHS copy. The project enhances learning by focusing the younger students on developing their writing skills and giving the older students the opportunity to use two different media to tell a story.
