Robinson's "Learning to Learn" project involves second-graders in self-directed multiple intelligence activities that strengthen the eight different types of intelligence. 24 plastic discovery boxes, each containing high interest material the students can use for self-directed investigative and creative activities, are housed in a shelving unit on wheels. By having access to a variety of materials, students discover that there is more than one way to learn. Using their own, preferred learning styles, students explore concepts in science, math, language arts, and social studies.
