Connie Michael

Michael’s innovative teaching idea, “CrowBots: STEAMTEAM,” focuses on bringing robotics, engineering and design into the classroom through literacy, mathematics, social studies and science. Although most students have some sort of gaming console, Michael believes students do not understand the mechanics behind the games, nor do they see their interests in gaming as a path to success in school. With the Voya Unsung Heroes grant, Michael will incorporate coding, robotics and a variety of engineering and design integration into the classroom.
