Claudia Freeman

Freeman's "Kids at Work" project is a fully functioning classroom business that makes identification badges for school districts and private business in the community. The program identifies and increases learning capabilities of severely learning-disabled students through a hands-on, project-based curriculum. Students learn to work cooperatively as well as independently to meet deadlines and reach goals, and the problem-solving and organizational skills they develop contribute to academic performance.
