Claire Oglesby

Oglesby developed an innovative program focusing on diversity and combating racism and prejudice. Conducting lessons on different cultures, language, clothing, food and crafts, and religious celebrations, Oglesby reinforced that stereotypes were not always accurate. Students also learned about diverse populations within the United States. Studying different cultures clarified their own culture and helped them recognize and enjoy the differences and similarities.
