Cooley's "Spec-tech-ular Interactive Math" program offers a hands-on approach to teaching math in the technology age by using a white board for class assignments. The white board is accessible through a Web site that students can use from home or school. It allows the seventh grade pre-algebra students to enter an online homework center to review the answers to all previous homework assignments, view other interactive Web sites that help reinforce mathematical problems and use the white board as an overhead projector for classroom activities, games, puzzles or worksheets. The white board benefits students by allowing them to see concepts and visuals more concretely and to work on problems in a manner that fits their unique learning style.
