Christina Gargasoulas

Gargasoulas' "Exploring Geometry Through the Geometer Sketchpad" is a hands-on approach to teaching geometry that uses the Geometer Sketchpad and manipulatives to help students understand geometry concepts at a higher level and view mathematics as a fun subject with endless possibilities. The project improves students' learning and retention of mathematical concepts by enabling them to interact directly with their environment. This shifts classroom lessons away from a teacher-centered approach with the teacher as sole information provider to one that lets students create and own their knowledge.
