Catherine Miller

Miller's project, Science Hands-On Lab, goes one step farther in teaching children how to grow plants in a classroom. By giving students a small plot of land outside their classroom, students learned how to grow a number of plants, and because the soil they were using was poor, they also learned how to mix in different nutrients, seeing which ones worked best to help their plants grow.
