Casey Lindorfer

Lindorfer’s innovative teaching idea, “Percussion for Body and Soul,” is an award-winning percussion program at Capital High School, and it is growing so rapidly that it cannot accommodate the number of students who want to participate. Through the Unsung Heroes grant, Lindorfer will be able to expand the program by purchasing additional practice pads, allowing the program to double in size. Additionally, with the practice pads, students can practice regularly, while also protecting their hearing. The new equipment will enable the students to break out into different group sizes within the classroom and rehearse at the same time without the volume overwhelming the room.
