Zibert's "Rhythm Plus Singing Equals Math" project uses music to improve math understanding and achievement among second and third graders. Based on research that has shown that children's comprehension of mathematics (especially number relationships) improves after music training, the project explores ways that certain math concepts correspond with musical experiences. By integrating the two disciplines, the project offers students a unique and valuable learning experience.
