The team’s idea, “Keeping Students Engaged!,” focuses on helping educators capitalize on the skills they developed while teaching via distance learning. With the Voya grant, the team will purchase a Pear Deck school software license so teachers can utilize the different features in Pear Deck to measure student engagement and understanding. Pear Deck is designed to support proven strategies in daily classroom instruction, making it easy for teachers to follow the best practices that reduce achievement gaps and improve outcomes for all students. The software also enables teachers to design lessons, monitor student participation, and interact with students for feedback and discussion.
