Carly Pumphrey

Pumphrey's program, "We Write, You Read, We All Win," for first grade students at Marlowe Elementary School includes the production of a monthly newsletter, Musketeer Moments. Pumphrey developed the project to focus on reading and writing enhancement and technological skills. Students are responsible for the majority of the writing, editing, story ideas, information gathering, production and distribution of the newsletter. Designed to enhance language skills, the project will help students increase fluency, vocabulary, clarity in communication and challenge them to become critical thinkers. The first-grade students will also utilize computer and technology skills at a very early age. Pumphrey lives in Falling Waters.
