Brandi Leggett and Tony Martin

Leggett’s and Martin’s innovative teaching idea, “Music Mania,” is intended to expand young students’ appreciation of music at an early age. Through this project, supported by the Voya grant, students will receive instruction about how to play various instruments and will have access to free after-school lessons with the school’s music teacher. Music Mania is designed to help students build their confidence and strengthen their brainpower as they improve memory function through music. The program will also help to develop students’ social skills, their love for school, and a passion for music.
