The "School Leadership Exchange" program between Jim Hill Middle School and the Whitsunday Anglican School ( Australia ) has already strengthened the leadership skills of the students involved in this program. This Fall, 38 Australian students and three adult chaperones will make the trip from Australia to Minot. During a two week period, the Australians will attend school, stay with host families and experience as much of what Minot has to offer. Shortly after the Whitsunday visit, the Jim Hill students will travel to Australia to be immersed in the Australian culture. The primary objective for this program is to expand the children's views of other cultures and the world as a whole. Irmen resides in Minot.
