Barbara Smith

Through a partnership with a local cable company, Smith's project was designed around the production of a television show, "Pomona School News." The talk show allowed students to interview community and national leaders, including President Bill Clinton. The students participated in studio tours, computer workshops, and speech and essay contests. The program has reinforced existing skills, developed technical skills, increased community involvement, and exposed students to career options.
