Anna McLinn

McLinn's project, The Elementary Fire Cadet Program, teaches students how to assist with community and family efforts in case of an emergency such as earthquake or fire. Twenty volunteer firefighters made a one year commitment to mentor students by presenting a positive attitude which recognizes the possibility of achieving opportunity and success through goal setting, education and hard work. This program is designed for at-risk students in hopes of challenging them to stay away from one of three local street gangs.
