Harrison's program, "Teaching Students 21st Century Skills", will celebrate diversity in learning styles while helping enhance the learning process by teaching the best ways to research, document, and present information. The information learned will be used throughout the course of the school year across disciplines. Through the use of technology, students at Athens School will create portfolios that will serve as a resource for them while researching for their upcoming social studies fair. The portfolios will also meet the West Virginia Content Standards and Objectives. Up-to-date laptops and digital cameras will be used throughout the course of their research. This program will help to close the digital divide for students currently limited in technological resources by equipping them with the tools needed to be competitive in today's society. Harrison resides in Princeton.
