Strack's "Outdoor Education" project is an outdoor classroom in which students study fish spawning habitats, graph sightings of endangered species, create experimental biodiversity test plots, and establish hiking trails through the school forest. The project also involves building a shelter/storage facility for outside class activities and equipment. Through the project, students gain a better understanding and appreciation of nature and conservation in a hands-on environment. They are also able to further develop their math and communication skills as they plan, build, and landscape the shelter area.
