Voya Financial and American College Announce Fourth Quarter Veteran Scholarship Recipient
Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VOYA), announced today that it has awarded its fourth quarter scholarship, in partnership with the American College of Financial Services, to Nancy Feldman, who aspires to further her career in the life insurance industry. Feldman is the wife of Larry Feldman, a Marine Reconnaissance veteran who returned from serving in Vietnam in 1971 to join the President’s Honor Guard under President Richard Nixon. Voya and The American College award quarterly scholarships to support veterans and their spouses, and to foster diversity and inclusion in the financial services industry.
Nancy Feldman is already a licensed broker of life and health insurance products, and plans to use the scholarship to expand her skillset and complete her Charted Life® Underwriter designation. She believes this accreditation will give her the knowledge and confidence necessary to make the next phase of her career a success. Feldman is passionate about helping her clients protect the financial security of their loved ones, and is planning to continue building a solid book of life insurance business.
“It’s a blessing to have a career that brings me so much joy and also helps others achieve their financial goals,” said Nancy. “I’m grateful to Voya and The American College for the opportunity to continue my education so I can provide more services to my current and future clients."
“Our partnership with The American College helps veterans and their spouses advance their careers in financial services through ongoing educational opportunities, which supports our commitment to financial empowerment and workplace diversity,” said Angela D. Harrell, SVP of Corporate Responsibility and President of Voya Foundation.“We’re thrilled that Nancy is leveraging this scholarship to hone her skills and to better serve her clients, and we wish her great success in the future.”
The American College of Financial Services is a nonprofit, accredited, degree-granting college founded in Bryn Mawr, Pa., in 1927.
