Voya Investment Management Named to Pensions & Investments Magazine's "2015 Best Places to Work in Money Management" List
NEW YORK, Dec. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Voya Investment Management, the asset management business of Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VOYA), announced today that it has been named to Pensions & Investments Magazine's "2015 Best Places to Work in Money Management" list. Voya ranked second in its category of firms with between 500 to 999 employees. This is the first year Voya has been named to the list.
"We are honored to be named to this list. It is a testament to the firm, the culture we have built and to all of the hard work that each employee does every day to serve our clients and each other," said Jeffrey Becker, chief executive officer, Voya Investment Management. "Following several years of strong performance and growth, it is clear that our employees have embraced our mission built on the guiding principles of stewardship and service and a value proposition of reliable investing. It is humbling to know that so many talented people have chosen Voya as a place to develop their careers."
Firms that participated were required to complete a two-step survey conducted by Buck Consultants. First, an employee questionnaire was completed by the firm to capture information on benefits, retirement, training and development and incentive structure, among other topics. Second, employees completed a 40-question survey, which looked at several elements of being an employee at Voya—including engagement and satisfaction, work environment, career development and remuneration in addition to two open-ended questions about working at Voya.
"The fact that we had a 75 percent participation rate in P&I's employee survey shows me that our people are passionate about working here and interested in sharing their views of the firm," continued Becker. "We have people who believe we are doing many things right, enjoy working together as a team and are driven by common values and goals."
"A strong culture is not built overnight," said Michael Pratt, managing director and head of Human Resources at Voya Investment Management. "We cultivate a diverse and energizing environment where you can build a rewarding career and make a difference by serving our clients and communities."
