Utilizing this multi-disciplined approach, the Target Solution Trust suite was designed to encompass the following differentiating advantages for plan sponsors and their participants:
- Open architecture – Allows for allocations to proprietary and non-proprietary underlying managers.
- Blending active and passive – Use of a mix of active and passive strategies allows the portfolios to draw on the skills of proven institutional asset managers, so that we can add alpha in a cost- effective manner.
- Broad diversification – Provides access to a broad range of traditional and alternative asset classes offering exposure to a broad range of styles, asset classes and regions.
- Participant-centric glide path – Innovative approach that directly aligns investment portfolio risk with the retirement objectives of plan participants.
Voya IM’s MASS team is committed to continuous research and has a history of innovation within its product offerings and investment capabilities.
Frank van Etten, managing director and deputy CIO of the MASS team, states, “Voya prides itself on being a reliable partner with its clients, and we believe the Voya Target Solution Trusts have delivered on this promise. Our objective is to ensure that our investment strategy aligns with the retirement goals of investors. Our retirement-oriented investment thinking and experience is in line with the culture of our firm and we believe supports plan participants reaching their retirement goals with confidence.”
